in attempt to change halogen bulb in top oven, blew circuit. ordered new light assembly. installed, but light won't go off. could damage have been done to control board when circuit blew? all other functions work correctly. thanks

Most likely that's what happened.

If you need the correct part number, post the last letter in the model number.
