I ordered a timer for hotpoint oven model RJ742GOT7BG. According to the instructions the old timer should be using 5 of the 6 terminals but it uses only 3 of the 6. Has anyone had the same wiring problem. The numbered terminals are the reverse of the old timer according to the new instructions. The new timer model is WB19X10006. Thanks
Or should I have a tech come in. The new timer is in but I am not sure of the wiring and do not want to burn it out

I have a similar problem. I have had no response to my post and see you got no replies since August. Seems this forum is not very useful. What did you do or find out.

I had to return the same timer you have and found a company that will either fix or sell you a replacement timer just like the old one which is an analog timer and not digital. If you still need help just reply to the post and I will get the name of the company as it has been a while.
