The broiler element I have is fried (broiled?), literally charcoal and breaking off in chunks. Do I need other parts, other than this element to replace it? There's something on the left side (facing in), like a wire or filament that may or may not have connected at one point to the element. Is that the case?
Do I have to remove the upper braces that hold the element in order to replace it?
The lower oven coil works as does the interior light.

I read that I should :
1. Unplug unit.
2. Pull out old element (after removing braces?) and clip wires with clothespin to keep them from retracting/getting lost.
3. ??
