Model Number: RHP354-U4 Brand: Caloric Age: More than 10 years
Hi, I'm a first timer, great site. I have a 1975 Caloric gas stove.Last year the oven igniter(under floor panel)wouldn't heat up.Didn't use for a few months, then tried again and oven igniter lit and so did broiler igniter(on ceiling of oven). Used oven without problem for many months(I don't use the broiler)now neither igniter will light. I'm planning on renovating my kitchen(cook top and wall ovens) next year so prefer to fix instead of buy new stove, unless price wise it makes more sense to buy. Appreciate any help you can offer. Thanks

Hi,
None of my major parts suppliers list your model number. And they don't have a breakdown here. ************ lists parts but not diagrams. But if you can unplug the ignitor and test the wires with an oh meter to make sure the ignitors are getting power that would help. Then trace the wires till you find the last point you have power, that may be where your problem lies. Could be the valve itself, infinite switch or the ignitors. Hope that helps Nat |

Kathy,
With your model there's not many parts available. But by looking ar the ones that are I think ( BUT NOT CERTAIN) that part number AP2150412 only $49.95 could be used for both bake & broil. If it's the valve though..... I don't see anything that looks like it would work. If I can be of assistance jut let me know. Hope that helps some! Nat |

LOL. If you're going to go ahead and buy a new one that's great there are a lot of nice ones out there. If you're going to get one to intergrate with your new kitchen next year I'd really think about what you're wanting to have over all or maybe try to buy a good used one to last until after your done remodeling.
Just a suggestion. Nat |

Hi Nat,
I want a cook top and wall ovens instead of range so thats why I don't want to spend too much. Thanks for the thought about "good used" ones,I'll checked yellow pages to see if theres a store who sells them, even scratch and dents would be ok. Kathy P.S. If you're in the neighborhood drop by for dinner |

LOL... sounds good. you might also check your area for moving sales, auctions, etc. for used ones. Or get the cook top you want and use a counter top convection oven they work great and I did that for a while while redoing a kitchen once I bought mine on ******** for about $60. Saved money in the long run and I still use the little convection oven for a lot of things instead of heating up the whole kitchen.
