Left a microfiber towel on a hot burner last night, accidentally... and the glass seems damaged (it looks chipped, there is an actual dent/depression in the glass).

I'm trying to find the model number (and correct part for replacement) - but my model number doesn't seem to exist anywhere on the internet!

It's a GE "Spectra", and according to the sticker behind the drawer on the stove the model is: "J BP82C0F2CC" (the space is on the sticker... I'm not sure if the "0" is meant to be a zero or the letter "O" - I've tried searching both ways, with no luck.)

The closest I can find is JBP82CF2CC - but I don't know if they're identical?

The stove was purchased by the previous owner of the home, in April 2003.

Thanks for any advice!

And - just to double check - am I understanding the replacement process correctly? It sounds like there is no real wiring to replace the glass top? Once you unscrew/remove the old one, the new one just slides in (mine does not have controls on the glass).

Thanks!
