Oven Repair (including Ranges and Cooktops)

My oven panel display F7 56, the number is flashing and none of the function is working except burners.

I turn off, cleaned ribbon tape and insert paper to seperate the tape, turn it back on it disapear for approximately 60 seconds the it beeping for 30 seconds and F7 56 reapear again.

What happend and how do I fix this problem? Please help!

Ted,

Most likely the problem is a bad membrane switch (key pad), but there is a small chance for the control board to be bad as well. I would replace the membrane assembly first, hoping it will solve the problem.
