I just got home from 3 weeks holidays and when I went to cook something in the oven it wouldn't work. The ignitor glows bright orange, but no gas is coming from the burner. I opened the broiler drawer in the bottom and reached in and tapped the gas safety valve with a wrench and the burner lit! It won't stay lit though. As soon as the oven reaches temp and the thermostat shuts it off, it won't relight again unless I tap the valve after the ignitor starts glowing again. I'm thinking the valve must be faulty. Why it would just stop working, I haven't a clue. Any thoughts would be appreciated................thanx!
