A few months ago when using the touch pad on the control panel a blue light/spark shot out from under the panel. The control panel still has a lighted display and the touch pad displays the info as it is keyed in. However, the oven no longer works. The range top burners are working fine. I can hear the touch pad as info is keyed in and and the start button is pressed, but , nothing happens afterwards. A repair guy is coming to check the oven to the tune of $80/hr. I am asking if it is possible that the whole control panel will not need to be replaced. Is there something else that could be the problem ? Repair and replacement parts could cost as much as a cheap oven. Not sure what to do. I really don't want a cheap oven and at the same time I can't afford a $500. repair. HELP !!!!
