Model Number: 32211XAW Brand: Magic Chef Age: More than 10 years
Thanks to the experts on this site and appliancepartspros.com I successfully diagnosed and repaired a broken ignitor. However, before I came across this site I cut the copper wire coming out the back of the oven control knob to completely remove and inspect it (which I now know is the thermostat Part Number: AP4092858) I twisted the wire ends back together but am doubting this is sufficient. The oven works now but only has 2 settings- off and broil, no in between. I have also tried to adjust the small screw in the themostat with no change. Do I need to buy an entire new thermostat, can I just purchase the wire leading to the sensor, or is there someway to correctly re-attach the cut ends?
