I have purchased a switch kit and connector receptical for my Jenn-air cooktop from Appliance Parts Pros. Unfortunately, there are no wiring diagrams that come with the parts. 2 questions: both wires from the connector receptical are red in color - one has a small paper tag with technical information. Does it matter WHICH of the recepters in the switch these are connected to on the switch (H1 or H2)? Also, I want to verify which cooktop "power source" wires go to the switch. Looking at the back of the switch ("TOP" up): top left, marked "P" goes to the light indicator; next, marked "L1" goes to the black wire from source; top middle, marked "L2" goes to the red wire from source.

Quote:...both wires from the connector receptacle are red in color - one has a small paper tag with technical information. Does it matter WHICH of the recepters in the switch these are connected to on the switch (H1 or H2)?... No, it does not make any difference. Quote:...I want to verify which cooktop "power source" wires go to the switch... The best help (without presence of the wiring diagram) is to follow the old switch connections. If this particular switch has been already disconnected, check out any other switch connections.Gene.
