Model Number: RF396PXYQ3 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 5 - 10 years
Keep getting this F3 error code then none of the oven controls will work. The other day I unplugged it then I was able to bake, when I turned it off it started to beep and go to the code and lock up again. So far have not been able to get it back on. Does anyone know what the code is telling me to replace? The book says to call service.

F3 stands for a faulty oven sensor. Unplug the oven, then replace the sensor. Should be back to normal. The sensor is inside the oven. When you pull on the sensor, you'll get to a male/female quick connector. When you unplug it, be careful not to lose the other end behind the oven wall or this simple repair won't be so simple anymore.
