1) When door is closed and desired heating control is pressed the microwave only responds with a clicking sound, although the appropriate time countdown displays on the clock.
2) When door is opened the fan immediately comes on.
3) If door is carefully jiggled and pressed firmly upon closing, the unit will sometimes function, despite #2 above.
Do these symptoms indicate switch malfunction or could it be the magneto as well? Anything else possible? Thanks for any help you can provide.
