Gene,

Thank you for all of your assistance. The removal and replacement of the magnatron was a breeze. I paid for the quicker delivery and had the microwave oven back in place in no time at all. The cost of repair was much less than going out and replacing it. Thank you again for all of your help.

Closure - Replacement of the magnatron was the solution to the problem. Gene was right on in his diagnosis. It was a fairly easy repair for the average individual with basic mechanical skills.
