While fasten the MW to the Wall (it's an over the stove model) I inadvertently drilled holes through the bottom edge (in the corner) of the cabinet.


This morning my wife gave me the “good news, bad news” bit good news the MW is still on the wall, bad news she found metal shavings inside .

The screws are barely visible from the inside.

Is there any danger of leakage or heating the wall studs (fire)?
If there is no danger, what can I use to seal the hole?

Any way you can post a picture of what your talking about? Are the screws coming through the inside cavity of the M/W?

I'll try to get a picture posted tomorrow, however when you open the door and look at the back lower edge the screws are barely visable. When I drilled the holes I was angling upward, so the screws broke through the inside floor(?) in the back corner where the back and the bottom are joined.
