Default Microwave Not Heating
Model Number: JVM1650BH03   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

My GE Spacesave, model JVM1650BH03, manufactured June 2005, does not heat. The display and lights all work as usual and the turntable rotates, but it does not heat. There is a low humming noise. What part needs to be replaced to fix it? I have used it less than two years. You help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Default GE Profile Microwave & Range Hood

Badfish66,

I have a very simular problem with my GE profile (JVM1871SK03 this is what I copied off the microwave, will verify tonight, not recognized here). Anyway it does everything it is supposed to accept heat. I have replaced the Magnetron, where is the High Voltage Diode located, and what is the partnumber.

Rich

Here is the diode Part Details - GE Diode - high voltage, part number: WB27X1160

It is located on the capacitor. drop the control panel down and the cap is located above the fan assembly, and is silver looking. it will have a red and white wire attached to it along with the diode.
