Kenmore microwave hood

Model Number: 72167681790 Brand: Kenmore Age: More than 10 years

I have a 97 kenmore hood microwave that would shut down occasionally during cooking and then eventually would come back on. It finally has shut down and has failed to come back on. Can you help?? Is this major or a minor problem??
