Replacing GE Handle

Replacing GE Handle

Model Number: JVM1350AW02 Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years

I located and ordered a replacement door handle, but I cannot remove the bottom piece of the old one -- which is screwed in from behind and the screw is inaccessible. I can remove the one screw, from the top, which goes all the way through the door and into the handle. The bottom one, though, does not screw in from through the door. Please help!
