While cooking dinner the other evening the microwave door wouldnt open. After trying to shimmy it a little I finally lost my temper and yanked it open. Perhaps this was not a good idea, because the plastic latch pieces are now broken that hold the door shut.

As well as probably the door sensor. My question to you is one, which would be cheaper:
Repairing it myself. Not at all a problem im very inclined when it comes to mechanics and electronics.
However the microwave is covered under my home warranty and would only cost me 75 dollars for the service call.

Would parts be cheaper to do myself or have the tech do it.
Im thinking probably be cheaper to have tech do it. As i know those sensors can be pricy, especially if it turns out to be the control board too.

Thanks in advance.
