Repair Forum,
I have a broken handle on my GE Microwave and used your site to order a new part. After reviewing similar postings I am not sure how to access the back of the door on my microwave. The part is #1804 and I can't tell by the diagram if a "kitchen knife" will work to slowly pry it from the door? Also, I can't tell if there are any screws that go into this new handle to attach it properely to the door.

Any help would be appriciated. Thanks CT:(
