Default Dead Microwave
Model Number: MH7130XEB-1   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 5 - 10 years

I have a Whirlpool microwave, Model #MH7130XEB-1. The microwave is completely dead, no display, lights, etc. Can't hit any buttons, anything. Completely dead.

Looking for a repair manual to try to troubleshoot. Is this a common problem? Any idea of the cause?

Default

Chances are it's the fuse or a thermostat / thermal cutout on the magnetron or on top of the chassis.

There should be a handy "mini-manual" tucked behind the control panel assembly. It's helpful when troubleshooting.

It will show you where the fuse and thermostats / thermal cutouts are located.

There's a video on YouTube that shows you how to safely remove the control panel assembly on a typical microwave in less than five minutes.

Default Danger Inside

Please be sure to unplug the microwave unit before messing with any of the innards or changing the fuse.
There are capacitors inside that may hold a 4000 volt charge for a long time.
