Model Number: HVM1540DN1BB Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
My GE microwave started to slowly loose the number pad and then functions and finally all we had was "Add 30 Sec" button. Do you think it is JUST the Control Panel or the SmartBoard, too? It would heat and the turn table would work.

After 15 months of gentle service, my control pad (button pad) on my GE HVM1540DN1BB has died. GE won't cover the repair (1 year warranty only) and the repairman dispatched by GE wanted $240 (which is more than Amazon.com wants for a brand new replacement). So, I made a guess and purchased a new Smart Board ($120). WRONG. It's the button panel assembly.
Never again shall I purchase a GE product. |
