Default Whirpool underlight will not turn off
Model Number: MH7130XE   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: More than 10 years

My microwave under the unit that shines on the range will not turn off by pushing the on/off button.

I can turn the light on with the button and off but within seconds of turning it on. If it sits for 1 minute or so then when I push the on/off button it will not turn off.

Any thoughts.

Most likely the problem is a bad relay on the main control board. Unfortunately this part is no longer available.
