Microwave has no power at all. I have replaced many fuses in all different brands of Microwaves over the recent years, but I can't seem to locate a fuse anywhere inside this microwave. I've traced just about every voltage wire trying to locate the ceramic fuse, but nothing. Am I missing something? I've even used a meter to be sure no wires are broken. Anyone who can tell me where the FUSE is located I would be eternaly grateful.

Look for the ceramic fuse at the latch bracket. It's shown as #9 on the diagram, together with the monitor switch.

Hello Gene,

At first when the part you told me to order arrived, it was short the actual fuse that i needed, but your excellent customer service department got it right out to me.

Success, the fuse was the culprit, however. The Microwave is my friends, and it has been broken for more than a year. But when I tore it apart, i noticed the smell of something electrical but it was very faint. Well, after replacing the fuse, I ran the microwave for about 2 seconds. Success. But I noticed that smell but amplified. I put a cup of water and started the microwave. Needless to say, I stoped it before maybe it blew another fuse. Once I pulled everything apart again, I really couldn't trace where the burning was coming from. I think it may have been the main transformer but i'm kinda afraid to power it on again to see. But since I only ran the microwave for maybe 15 seconds, the main transformer was extremely hot to the touch. I was careful before touching.

There was a lot of smoke for that short period of time, but eveything else looks ok.

Any suggestions?

High voltage transformers is one of the most common source of smoke in microwaves. Look for a burned (black) spots on the transformer windings.

Just a follow up on letting you know that replacing the fuse, then the burning transformer, now the microwave works perfectly. Thanks for your quick expert advice.
