Default Micowave short
Model Number: jvm1650ch01   Brand: GE   Age: 1 - 5 years

My Microwave seems to keep shorting out, as soon it is turned on it shorts then it says push clock and i have to re set the clock and date. The only way to get the microwave to work is to remove the top strip, and lift off the key pad and let it hang off the bottom 2 hinges.

The problem with your microwave caused by the magnetron. No doubt about it.

- The part number for the magnetron is AP2025937

Gene is correct. The magnetron tube is leaking microwave energy into the cabinet of the microwave causing the board to fault.
