Default whirlpool microwave vent fan not working
Model Number: mh2175xsq   Brand: Whirlpool   Age: 1 - 5 years   
my vent fan just stopped working, the display says the fan is on but nothing happens.

The problem could be a bad fan motor or a bad control board.

Perform the troubleshooting as described in the service manual (pages 7 & 10).

- The part number for the control board is AP3951232

- The part number for the fan motor is AP3964272

We repair these boards for $39.95 nationwide for cystomers nationwide. This is usually caused when the lights fail with power on, and it can affect the lights and / or fan. Happy to help.

Whirlpool MH1150XMT-0 Fan will not run when oven is on unless you manually press fan and then only on high. No low speed. Bad door switch ? fan hi low switch or relay?

Most likely the problem is a bad control board.

- The part number for the control board is AP3885533

The problem is almost certainly on the control board, which we repair nationwide for far less than the cost of a new board. Feel free to contact me if you're interested.
