Default Microwave fuse replacement
Model Number: MMV5156   Brand: Maytag   Age: 1 - 5 years

My Maytag above the oven microwave blew it's main fuse. It calls for a 20amp fuse. It looks exactly like the old type glass automotive fuses, but without the glass. Can I use one of those for a replacement? BTW- I put one in and it works.

There are only two important things for a replacement fuse: a physical size and an electrical characteristics. If both of them are the same - you are in good shape.

Gene.
