My Amana microwave is vented to the outside by the way of an outside wall using all the parts that came with the unit including the outside wall vent.
Since it was installed I have so much cold air coming in to the kitchen in the winter months. It gets cold enough in the microwave oven to almost freeze a glass of water when its cold out. The vent does open and close fine. So why so much cold air? Is this normal for outside installation? I am looking at switching to recirculating just because of the cold. the other day when it was below zero outside you couldn't hold your hand even on top the stove top it was so cold. Anyone have a idea why this would be or a suggestion to fix?
I thought maybe it is the design of the wall vent that came with the unit as if its windy as well you can here the damper flapping in the breeze. Like I said I am looking at just switching as my real only benefit to outside venting is to remove moisture from the stove top I have the equipment on my furnace to remove any bad smell from cooking.
Thanks in advance for the help.
