We have a GE wall mount oven/microwave combo. Model number reads JKP90BOM1BB but in the APP parts list I only find results under JKP90BM1BB.

Since last week that fan in the microwave unit is acting up. After using the MV for more than about 10 minutes, like when heating up several items in a row, the exhaust fan stops working. The turntable spins and the food gets heated, it is just much more quiet.

Questions now are A) how bad is it to run without the fan on? B) does this sound like an easy fix for a reasonably handy person?

My guess is that it is something temperature related because the fan does come back on after the mv has been idle for a while.

Any advice is appreciated.
