Whirlpool gmh3204xvs-3 shuts off after 3 seconds

Good Morning All,
I am diagnosing my Whirlpool OTR unit. It began to have problems about 6 months ago, when it would occasionally shut off. It got progressively worse over time, but we were able to work around it by starting the microwave with the turntable off, then turning it on once the magnetron kicked in. Finally, it stopped cooking altogether.
So far I have diagnosed it with a bad turntable motor, but it doesn't explain the shutoff. I can only get it to run with the humidity sensor disconnected. However, I don't believe that is the problem because I get a rapid clicking noise 3 seconds into the cycle regardless of whether or not the sensor is plugged in. The noise/vibration seems to be a rapidly toggling relay, and the success of the cook cycle is dependent on the microwave surviving this "toggling" of the relay. The relay problem begins about 2-3 seconds after I hit "start" and lasts only a second or two.
Naturally, I would like to repair this with a minimum amount of money. I am capable of doing component-level repair if necessary.
