Need to ID substitute microwave handle
An over-enthusiastic houseguest broke the handle off of my oldster over-the-range Amana microwave. Unfortunately, it appears that replacement handles (MFG Number R0705977) are no longer available.
The microwave still works just fine, and there are several reasons that I don't want just to buy a new microwave. It seems that all of the current breed of over-the-range microwaves are taller. Thus, to replace the microwave would require me to replace cabinets, too, in order to maintain minimum clearance from the stove top. That, of course, raises the risk of not being able to match the existing cabinetry and similar issues. Moreover, I hate the idea of filling landfills with stuff that still works just fine but for the want of one cheap part.
Can anyone help me identify a substitute handle in black or stainless that has the same screw centers (from the back) of 8 and 1/8inches (8.125") and a maximum length where the handle meets the door of 9 and 3/16 inches (9.19")?
