I've watched the video posted here, but that doesn't seem to work for this model. The part that needs to be removed is not thin, but goes back into the door 3/4 of an inch or so. I can't make it pop loose or come out. Open to other ideas or a video. Thanks! Robert I need to take the handle off to repaint it. We spent $450 on a stainless model with a handle that turned out to be painted plactic. It's now white.
