Maytag MMV5207BAB doesn't heat

Model Number: MMV5207BAB Brand: Maytag Age: 5 - 10 years

Microwave was all working fine. Remove a food item after heating; put another item in... will not heat. All lights, turntable, vent fan, display works fine. Makes a little louder noise (kind of like an older stick welder when you 'stick' the electrode) when it's trying to heat. Also noticed slight electrical smell when trying to heat. I have plenty of digital testing equipment, but no schematics or service manual. Need some info and guidance. Thanks in advance!
