Model Number: JKP90S P3SS Brand: GE Age: 1 - 5 years
I have a GE microwave / oven combo and I recently changed the thermal switch (GE part #WB27X10166) for the magnetron cooling fan. I checked all other thermal switches with ohm meter and they are ok. I re established power to the set and the mag cooling fan stays on and will not shut off. I did more searching and spoke with the customer support who stated I need to unplug the power for 1 hour and allow the microwave to reset. I completed this process and it did not correct the mag cooling fan issue. I also placed a cup of cold water at tested the microwave heating condition, it passed. All functions on the keypads work properly I am hesitant to think its a board issue. Any help is greatly appreciated. Doing these repairs on a shoe string budget. In researching this issue i found that you can make the repairs yourself and save alot of money.....
