Hello, Door will not open. The white pieces that the black spring hooks latch to will not move up when you press the button. Black spring hooks work. Thanks. Whirlpool microwave.

The model number you posted is incorrect.

Verify and repost it, please.

Unfortunately the door latch for this microwave has been discontinued by the manufacturer and the part is no longer available.

I found the parts on the parts list but can't tell which one or how it would be fixed

If we are talking about the door latch (#14 on the door and latch break down diagram), this part is no longer available.

Hello Gene, thank you for your quick replies. It's a little early today. The part # I need is either #2 or #5. I don' t need part #14. Part #14 is the black piece with hooks thats has spring action. I need the part that is white it is the part that (should) move when you press the door release button. It 's located in the bottom slot of the two slots that part #14 fits into. The door will close, all microwave functions work properly. The only problem I'm having is the door won't open. Thanks again, Dan
