Model Number: GT1196SHS-1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: More than 10 years
This is a built in unit which has been repaired one time in the past when it was relatively new. While using the unit last night it began flashing and sparking (or so it seemed). There was a little bit of smoke and the smell of plastic/electrical. After everything calmed down, we turned it on to see what would happen and it runs normally (with a slightly different sound) and it doesn't heat. The turntable still moves and the display seems fine too. I am interested in repairing the unit if possible and have used this forum in the past to diagnose and repair our washing machine, dishwasher and oven. My husband is pretty handy.
Please let me know if you this is something that can be repaired and advise. Thanks and Happy New Year. Bobbi Jo Ads By Google Related Models |
