Microwave hummed for a bit now wont work
Model Number: JVM1630WB007 Brand: GE Age: 5 - 10 years
Hi All,
I have a GE SpaceMaker that has stopped working. Here is what happened: On occasion when starting the microwave it would flip the breaker. I would flip it back and all was good. This has happened since we bought the house and occurred maybe once or twice a month. Today however, was different. The breaker flipped, so I fixed it and continued heating my food. When it finished I noticed the microwave would hum. It would only stop humming when I opened the door. I tried fiddling with buttons but the only way to stop humming was to open the door. The light and microwave still worked. It hummed for about 3 minutes straight then just stopped. It now doesn't operate at all. My plan was to take it down, open it up, check fuse and any sign of damage but other than I am completely clueless. Any help is appreciated and I thank you in advance.
