microwave only heats when exhaust fan is on

My microwave only heats if I turn on the exhaust fan. I recently replaced a cracked magnetron and diode and now it heats up just fine but only if I turn on the fan. I replaced the TCO hood fuse, but that didn't help. The other 3 fuses have continuity.
