I've purchased a new door latch (Part #AP4224753 / DE64-01308A) and need assistance on how and where to attach the spring to the latch and the door.

Thanks, Gene. The picture does show the latch and spring but not in detail enough to see exactly where the spring attaches to the latch and door. Do you know whether a Service Manual is available for the Samsung Model SMH9207ST?

:) Gene, got the latch today. It was shipped from NY so it took a few extra days due to Sandy. You are correct, it was simple once I saw the new latch and attachment point. Works greats now, thanks so much!

Gene.

I have the Samsung model SMH7187STG and cannot figure out where the spring connects inside the door. There is a small, round hole within the frame about 2 inches up from the door handle screw. I assume this is where it attaches within the frame to the new, plastic "door key" i just purchased!? Thanks!
