cleaning countertop microwave internally
Model Number: AMC5143AAS Brand: Amana Age: 1 - 5 years
I have an Amana countertop microwave. It's working fine, the problem is that I've become very allergic to dog dander, and any appliance that uses a fan will have a collection of dander in it.
So could the air-handling part of the microwave be cleaned? Any ideas about how to do that? My minisplit heat pump got cleaned out with high-pressure nitrogen. I'd probably ask an appliance repair person to do this. But if it's reasonable to do on one's own, maybe I will. I know microwaves are supposed to be dangerous to open up.
