scrolling request for timer info; error "SE"
Model Number: MMV4203D Brand: Maytag Age: 1 - 5 years
Everything works ... except the microwave from time to time beeps and requests info for the timer (min & sec). Also sometimes the keypad locks up. Also sometimes "SE" appears. Is the problem:
1. Dirt/junk that might have slid down between the keypad and stainless steel trim? 2. Failing keypad -- if so, which part needs to be replaced: A. W10258190 (Panel Asy, control membrane, lens, & bracket), B. W10258265 (Bracket, control0, or C. W10258171 (Microcomputer) I have succeed in removing the grill and pulling the keypad assembly out (of course with power off). I can't see how to separate the 3 parts in #2. [FONT='Times New Roman','serif']There are numerous side clips, screws, and electrical connections?[/font] Also, if I just removed the grill and keypad unit, any danger from microwaves after reassembly?
