Model Number: JES1334WD Brand: GE Age: More than 10 years
My microwave is producing an F5 error and sounding three long beeps, which is indicative of a shorted humidity sensor. I have found sensors for sale, but I they don't seem to be marked or labeled as the particular one I need. I'm just not sure if it's the right part.
I'd greatly appreciate any guidance that can be offered. Thanks! Ads By Google Related Models Last edited by sp180 : 08-21-2012 at 05:47 PM. |

The only sensor in the parts list (#47 at the diagram) is actually the cavity thermostat which is normally closed (shorted). It it becomes open then the microwave would not get any power. Where did you find such information? Gene.

On this site: Appliance Fault Codes
And from GE: http://www.geappliances.com/search/g...e/10009111.htm I just noticed I omitted the numbers 001 from the end of the model number, if that makes any difference. I figured the error codes would be universal across the various models. Is that not the case? Last edited by sp180 : 08-22-2012 at 08:54 PM. |

I've seen these lists too. The question is that there are no such humidity sensor listed in the parts list for this model (link bellow) nor such error code listed in the GE mini-manual for this model or such sensor in the wiring diagram (attached to the reply).
Here are the breakdown diagram and the Replacement parts for General Electric JES1334WD001 Counter top microwave | AppliancePartsPros.com Gene.
