Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

gene and trent--i am having and have for sometime a similar problem--the MW acts normally but does not heat---sometimes--it will kick on --you can hear trhe distinctive sound---and then will stop heating, steathily, and we discover it is not been hot. put popcorn in and sometimes it will start up heating stopping sometime during the cycle---sometimes it wint start at all. i have tried starting and stopping the MW and sometimes that works---other times does not. have had an experienced repairman try his magic and he is stumped--thermostats--twice--and other parts all to no avail---any suggestions?

So I have a similar problem.

The microwave of GMC305PDB6 combo does not heat up anything anymore. It blows cold air from its top grill vents, and makes a whizzing noise when activated. But everything else works fine otherwise.

1. Is it likely the magnetron or the diode that needs to be replaced??

2. Where are these parts located in the microwave ? Do I need to pull out the microwave-oven combo from the wall to test and check these parts?

Please advise.
