Door will not latch when shut

Model Number: SMH9151B Brand: Samsung Age: 1 - 5 years

Appliance Parts from AppliancePartPros.com

When I close the door on the microwave it will not latch and light will not go off. If I push and hold the door in the light goes out and the micowave will operate. As soon as I release the door it opens and light comes back on. What is causing this problem and can I easly fix it without a service call?

Hi.

Try to adjust the door switches.Remove the top grill and open the control panel. You will see the switches on the left.
Unplug the unit before taking it apart.
