The outer frame of the microwave door is creacked. My wilfe has purchased a replacement frame, No. 8184149, and asked me to install it--easier said than done!

There an indents inside the back of the frame (top, bottom and hinge side). I was told to merely insert a putty knife, lift up and pop off the frame. When I lift by one indent and others are still holding and the frame still holds.

What am I doing wrong or not doing properly?

You need to open them one by one around the frame.Use the putty knife.
