my microwave timer works and is lit up inside but doesn't actually heat up. when it first started doing it i could lift up on the door and it would come on so slightly adjusted hinges and it was working for a short while but now it wont work again. seems to me it could be where the door hooks close in the microwave but not sure. any other possible remedys?

hey chris thanks for replying, i guess i wasn't clear enough on what's happening with it. there is no sound and inside it doesn't rotate so that part of it doesn't work but the light comes on and the timer counts down. and like i said,at one point i could lift up on the door while it was closed and it would come on and heat so I'm thinking it's in one or both relays where the door hooks connect in the microwave.

thanks chris that's exactly the way i was leaning. i'm gonna bypass the door sensor and see if it works. and thanks for the info on the cost of the other parts cuz if its one of those i'll now know to just replace it. thanks again,paul
