rival 900 watt turned on heard a loud pop now won't heat food had it 5 months worked fine til this morning

Cajunqueen, You probably have a "blown" fuse in the heat circuit. But, you'll need to contact the dealer where you purchased the unit, for warranty, parts and service information.
