Just over a year old and out of warranty. We were using the convection part of the oven and the whole thing just died. Sounds like a common defect with the unit.

Regardless, upon inspecting it, we had a blown cavity TCO. Replaced it today and everything seems to be back to normal except for 1 thing. The Exhaust Fan keeps running. On the control I can turn it "on" and adjust it to high and low fan settings and it speeds up and down. But if I press to turn off the fan it still runs (at sub-low) speed.

The GE service manual says to replace the PCB but I think it's something else like a relay or some other part that got fried when the fuse blew. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

This fan should run every time when the speed cook is in use. If it runs while everything is off then check a fan thermostat (somewhere on the bottom panel from inside of the microwave control compartment).

Would you be referring to what's on the service manual as a thermister? In the center of the picture. What I replaced was the cavity tco just to the left of it. Thanks again, Dennis

No. It should be on the bottom, not on the top of the microwave because it senses the bottom panel temperature heated by a stove under the microwave.
