Hi, between the off brand and the age (mfg date Nov 1989) I'm not expecting miracles; but if someone could help me locate the thermostat on my microwave I'd really appreciate it. It is an over-the-range Microwave and we are hoping to get another year or two out of it. Everything works: clock, fan, lights; but no "micro waves". When we turn it on, no sound - the timer just counts down. I assume that is textbook thermostat. I found the Buss fuse (250V, 15Amp) and will replace that as well; but I can't locate (or at least identify) the thermostat. Any suggestions?

Most likely the problem is one of the door switches. You can access them after open the control panel. - Here are the break down diagrams for the Modern Maid microwave Model MMO166Gene.
