whirlpool f7 fault code
Model Number: GH9184XLQ-1 Brand: Whirlpool Age: 1 - 5 years
Getting f7 fault code. When you try to use the microwave it will only run for a few seconds and then error out. It will also trip the breaker. The tech sheet has the folllowing information. My question is can I just cut to the chase rather than doing all this testing (which I don't know how to do) and just order a replacement part to fix the thing? I can probably take a part out and replace it but testing is beyond me.
F7 Power to magnetron
Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
After 40 seconds, check to see whether this solves the problem. (Possible
reason: Over temperature protection for the magnetron opened.)
Check resistance of the magnetron thermostat. It should be close to
Check the magnetron.
Check wiring to the 1100W inverter and control system.
Check operation of all interlock switches.
If switches operate correctly:
Replace 1100W inverter.
If problem persists, replace power supply board.
8. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power.
