Model Number: . Brand: -brand- Age: 1 - 5 years
I need a data sheet or definitively sourced information on the output power for a Toshiba 2M303J(LG) magnetron.
That's the part number on the label. I Googled with no luck, and checked with a few suppliers with whom I have accounts. I ordered an LG 6324W1A001Y and got a magnetron marked as above when I was expecting one marked 2M282J(LG). I installed it, and it REALLY overheats the water during the standard test! The water went from 16.4C to 60.0C, for a whopping rise of 43.6C. Multiplying that times 70, then adding 100 gives you an output power of about 3,152 watts! I tested it three times (cover on and cover off) and got similar results. I like my microwaves fast, but I also like them to last more than a few minutes! I checked it for discoloration and cracked magnets, but it looks fine. So I need info on the 2M303J(LG) so I can see if it might be a bad cross. Otherwise, it may be defective. I know I'll have to get another one (and my restaurant customer is waiting!) but I like to know, not shotgun... Thanks! William Miller P.S. If you ever need microwave manuals or technical help, lemme know! Ads By Google Related Models |

By the way, I ordered it from the Pros.
I looked up part number 6324W1A001Y and in the photo, the label says 2M282J(LG). Hilarious, huh? http://www.appliancepartspros.com/pa...cHRyYXAv.j pg |

According my calculus, using 70 seconds time and one litre water, it means more or less 2500 watts. But if you used 0,5 lts it means 1250 watts, and if you used a cup of water, the rise of temperature is all right. |
